FIM Heritage Programme

“The sport that stirs our passions every day has a rich and universal history.

We must not only respect its origins, but also draw strength from them to tackle future challenges.

The classic scene that we know in Europe and worldwide fuels this passion for authentic motorcycle racing heritage.

In this context, it is important to recognise technological and sporting value and also the authenticity of racing motorcycles, which is vital to ensure harmonious and beneficial development for everyone involved in this activity.

Within the Foundation created by the FIM, I have decided to set up a “Heritage” programme.

Its main focus will be certifying the authenticity of racing motorcycles.
Certification will aid efforts to protect and promote them to the public thanks to the historical and technological value of these amazing pieces of machinery.

The second strand is the launch of a new series – “FIM Historic Events” – which will enable organisers to present selected motorcycles so that the public can indulge their passion with complete confidence thanks to the accuracy of the information provided.

Today, we are proud to be launching our first activities with all enthusiasts.
