SPB T150 SPB
Certificate n°C0527E
The 1970s saw the emergence of numerous specialist builders working on a wide range of machines—from customer race bikes to road-going sports bikes that were modified for competition, particularly in endurance racing. The 750cc, three-cylinder Triumph and BSA models provided an excellent platform for these projects. While many such builders were active in the UK and the US—names like Boyer and Rob North come to mind—custom-prepared machines were also being built in France. Originally road bikes, they were converted for racing through chassis modifications and engine tuning. This French-built 1976 SPB ("Spéciale Braud") competed in the Open de Vitesse at Le Mans as well as in hillclimb events.
