Suzuki competed in the 1982 World Endurance Championship. Team SERT was then managed by Dominique Méliand. Two crews were led by "Le Chef": Pierre-Etienne Samin and Dominique Pernet, who won the 24 Hours of Le Mans and Zeltweg; and Hervé Moineau and Richard Hubin, who won Silverstone. Of the six motorcycles originally built by the factory, only two remain.
